Montessori Freedom
In the age of AI, we will need every human talent more than ever.
As artificial intelligence reshapes our world, recognising and nurturing the unique potential of every person becomes more important than ever.Montessori Freedom brings Montessori principles into disability support and inclusive education, helping institutions create environments where autonomy, dignity and individual talents can flourish.
Our conviction
In the age of AI, no human potential should remain invisible. As artificial intelligence transforms our understanding of intelligence and human capability, inclusive education becomes more essential than ever.Yet the greatest obstacle to inclusion is often not a lack of methods or resources. It is what institutions and professionals believe a person is capable of achieving. When teams discover that someone can do far more independently than anyone expected, their perception changes. This is the “wow effect” at the heart of Montessori Freedom: a transformation in the way we see the person, opening the way to a transformation in the environment and in everyday practice.
The Freedom5 method
5 progressive pillars
1 - Authentic recognition
Seeing the real person, not the ideal one
2 - Scientific observation
From diagnosis to singular functioning
3 - Prosthetic environment
Spaces that reveal rather than constrain
4 - Therapeutic activities
Reigniting learning through preserved pathways
5 - Neural plasticity
The person as architect of their own strategies

Field Work
A method born from practice, not from theory
Freedom5 emerged from a multi-year collaboration with a disability support institution in French Guiana. Sustained institutional commitment, long-term funding and strong leadership at service level created the conditions for a rare opportunity: to develop, observe and refine a Montessori-based approach within everyday professional practice.A second mission is now extending this work to adults with more complex support needs. Different people, different institutional challenges, the same underlying principles, and an opportunity to explore how the framework can be adapted across settings.
Seeing Differently. Changing Institutions.
The Unseen
How Montessori principles can transform disability support. What happens when professionals begin to see abilities they had never noticed before? And what does it take for those discoveries to become lasting institutional change?Drawing on several years of fieldwork in French Guiana, The Unseen explores two inseparable dimensions of transformation: learning to recognise the potential of every person, and creating the organisational conditions for that potential to flourish.Combining real-world experiences, professional insights and the Freedom5 framework, this forthcoming book examines what it takes to move from a change of perspective to a lasting change in practice. For educators, disability support professionals and institutional leaders.Book in development
